幫派分子Chas（詹姆斯·福克斯暫無內容James暫無內容Fox暫無內容飾）是Harry暫無內容Flowers的一名手下，在一次幫派爭斗中，Chas殺死了一個叫Joey的人，只能逃亡。為了躲避Harry的追殺，他化名為Johnny暫無內容Dean，假裝是一名變戲法的，租了一所房子的地下室。房子的主人是暫無內容Turner（米克·賈格爾暫無內容Mick暫無內容Jagger暫無內容飾），他和兩個女人住在里面。Chas住在地下室的期間經歷了一段奇幻的旅程。他聯系一個朋友，讓朋友替他搞了個美國護照，準備逃走。他讓朋友來他住的地方與他見面，不料他的朋友卻帶著Harry的人一起來了......
