Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 毛永明,高英,程之,沈伐,李夏青,湯頤齡,王和平,魯林,高純,夏慧,楊靜華,徐俊泰,莫天琴,劉仁福,李文霞,黎俠峰,譚路阿滿（毛永明 飾）在劇樂團演奏黑管，他雖然本性善良，卻因為個性太過于老是耿直，總是愛說不中聽的大實話，因此每一段戀情都有始無終，至今依然過著形單影只的單身漢生活。阿滿從小就失去了父母，和舅舅過著相依為命的生活，舅舅對于阿滿的終身大事非常的操心，不斷的幫他安排著各種相親。這一次，阿滿要見的，是一位名叫田靜的女孩，阿滿第一眼就喜歡上了溫柔美麗的田靜，而田靜似乎也對阿滿感覺頗為不錯，這一段眼看著就要成了。誰知道舅舅當初為了能夠提高相親的成功率，隱瞞了阿滿的真實年齡，哪知道被阿滿自己給揭穿了，這令田靜的母親斷定阿滿是一個不誠實的男人，母女兩人回絕了這門親事。
