馬龍·白蘭度,馬修·布羅德里克,布魯諾·柯比,佩內洛普·安·米勒克拉克（馬修柏德利，「酷斯拉」）是紐約電影學院的新鮮人，但他還沒開始享受大學生涯就被人騙走了行李和所有財物，正當他走投無路之時，竟意外遇上偷走他財物的混混。為彌補克拉克的損失，那混混為克拉克引薦其叔父薩巴提尼（奧斯卡影帝馬龍白蘭度，「現代啟示錄」），希望他能幫克拉克安插個工作。雖然薩巴提尼所從事的〃進口生意〃頗受人質疑，他后來卻成了克拉克的良師，教了他許多待人處事的經驗。馬龍白蘭度在本片一反以往的作風改走喜劇路線，和他在其代表作「教父」中柯里昂家族的教父形象大相逕庭。
村里來了個洋媳婦
盧譽文,偉小麗,趙駿謝小軍和非洲媳婦璐璐回到山村老家，小軍媽媽李翠花卻安排兒子與大學生村官沈瑩相親，反對兒子和黑人姑娘的婚事。 村集體的化工廠發生污水泄漏事故，水壩被污染。小軍和璐璐看見青山綠水被污染，建議關停化工廠。告誡大家：青山綠水就是金山銀山。 為了達到拖延兒子和璐璐的婚事，他們不惜舉行了一場假葬禮，黑人姑娘按照非洲部落習俗在喜喪現場，跳起了非洲舞蹈“喚醒”了假死的二大爺，村里人倒因此喜歡上了這個非洲姑娘。 小軍看到了好兄弟李楓和初戀沈瑩要好上了，心情復雜做出來武斷的處理方式，璐璐沒有埋怨小軍，和沈瑩通過交心暢談，成了好朋友。 村里全體村民股東大會，決定關停化工廠，轉而大力發展旅游，以及山貨深加工企業。 為了再次阻止小軍和璐璐的婚禮，李翠花和小玲把璐璐拍的村企業污染的照片傳到了網上，村民知道這件事以后要趕走璐璐。 小軍也很氣憤，璐璐難過的離開了。李翠花最后良心發現，向小軍承認是自己讓小玲上傳的照片。悔恨的小軍追回來璐璐，李翠花也接受了非洲的媳婦。 兩個人在村里舉辦了一場盛大的中式婚禮。農產品加工廠開業，李楓跟沈瑩牽手成功，璐璐成了村里旅游大使。 璐璐和小軍決定留村里發展，共同建設美麗鄉村。

等待方舟

The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
