 1927年，蔣介石背叛革命，一片白色恐怖彌漫在華夏大地上空。中國共產(chǎn)黨于8月7日召開了緊急會(huì)議，委派毛澤東前往湖南組織秋收武裝暴動(dòng)。毛澤東決定成立工農(nóng)革命軍第一軍第一師，并將暴動(dòng)時(shí)間定為1927年9月9日。毛澤東和潘心源、陳志安走到張家坊，卻被閻仲甫所設(shè)的哨卡攔住。幾個(gè)團(tuán)丁押著三人走在山路上，毛澤東巧施妙計(jì)得以脫身，三人來到銅鼓鎮(zhèn)工農(nóng)革命軍第三團(tuán)集結(jié)地。秋收起義終于打響了。工農(nóng)革命軍一路攻下多處要害后遭到敵人包圍，因敵強(qiáng)我弱，部隊(duì)損失慘重。毛澤東仔細(xì)思考局勢，在會(huì)上指出敵我雙方實(shí)力懸殊，我方應(yīng)先站穩(wěn)腳跟，保存實(shí)力。隨后，毛澤東帶領(lǐng)部隊(duì)前往敵人統(tǒng)治力量最為薄弱的羅霄山脈，建立蘇維埃政權(quán)。部隊(duì)終于沖破敵人的圍剿，毛澤東在幾百名戰(zhàn)士的簇?fù)硐旅鞔_了拉著隊(duì)伍上井岡的部署，堅(jiān)定地表示必將打倒蔣介石。
