Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　黑貓（許冠杰 飾）身手敏捷，小有名氣。一次，他在巴黎時忽然遭到不明身份的女殺手襲擊，當他和對手一路打斗來到鐵塔時，伏擊在此的大鋼牙和剛帽突然出擊。措手不及的黑貓眼看性命不保，縱身跳下了塞納河。　　當黑貓醒來的時候，一名自稱占士邦的應該特工人員告訴他這是女皇對他的考驗，現在他已通過考驗，可以正式接受女皇的密令。信以為真的黑貓欣然應允，返港為女皇盜竊一枚極為貴重的寶石。當黑貓費盡九牛二虎之力完成任務后，發現事實并非如此。
