1944年的香港深陷于日本侵略者的鐵蹄之下，援華美軍飛虎隊飛行員詹姆斯（米切爾·霍格 飾）在執行轟炸香港任務時被日軍擊落。東江縱隊游擊隊員沙膽仔（陳永勝 飾）、三家姐（王丹妮 飾）、單刀（伍允龍 飾）及蝦米（韓陌 飾）奉命潛入日軍俱樂部保齡球館營救詹姆斯，與此同時，矢志刺殺日軍在港高官的我黨潛伏人員歡少（韓庚 飾）終于等到在保齡球館執行任務的絕佳機會。不料，營救詹姆斯和刺殺日軍高官的任務“相撞”，歡少身份暴露、行動未果后毅然與小隊一起帶著詹姆斯沖破日軍海陸空立體封鎖，與追擊日軍以命相搏，最終在大鵬灣的血色黎明中小隊絕地突圍、逃出生天。
