瑪利亞(朱麗·安德魯斯 飾)是一個(gè)年輕活潑的修女,喜歡在大自然下高聲歌唱,所以她常常忘記了修道院里的規(guī)矩。院長(zhǎng)認(rèn)為瑪利亞并不屬于規(guī)矩嚴(yán)格的修道院。院長(zhǎng)與眾嬤嬤商量后,決定安排瑪利亞到一位名叫特拉普(克里斯托弗·普盧默 飾)上校家當(dāng)家庭教師。上校的妻子去世多年,留下7個(gè)孩子,他要求對(duì)孩子嚴(yán)格管教。他告訴瑪利亞在他家的家庭教師都做不長(zhǎng)久,都是因?yàn)楹⒆拥膼鹤鲃 ,斃麃喒灰苍獾搅藧鹤鲃。墒沁@位善良的老師并沒(méi)有告訴他們的父親,而是像個(gè)母親一樣照顧孩子,很快跟孩子打成一片。上校也漸漸在瑪利亞的引導(dǎo)下改變了對(duì)孩子們的態(tài)度。上校與瑪利亞之間發(fā)生了感情,他們完婚后回到了已被納粹占領(lǐng)的奧地利,上校并不想為納粹辦事,一家人準(zhǔn)備逃跑……
好像一切都很糟糕
Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
